Aloha lovelies, is the thing to say on a bright and beautiful hawaiian day!

So as you all probably are aware, Lar and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and oh my goodness was it amazing! This was my first time ever visiting the islands and they were beyond gorgeous.

Seriously everything about our trip was just beautiful and that's why I knew I needed to share it all with you as best I could. Our honeymoon started out at "the happiest place on earth," Disneyland! Of course I couldn't miss a trip to the parks while in California. I would highly recommend taking a travel break though if you ever do plan to visit Hawaii. The flights can be so long. For us coming from the east coast it was 5hrs to Cali, but then another 5hrs from there to the islands. So splitting the trip was definitely a smart plan and I'm so glad Larry set it up that way!

Disneyland and California Adventure were great ways to start out our getaway. I'm such a Disney fanatic that getting to have those moments wearing the "just married" buttons and ears meant so much to me.

Next stop on our trip was, Oahu!

We stayed at Aulani a Disney resort during our 6 nights on Oahu, and wow oh wow was it amazing! The entire resort was just so beautiful. We got lucky and stayed on the top floor (16th) and they gave us one of the sweetest views I think you could get. Our room looked out to the center of the pool/courtyard, but not only could we see this amazing view, but we could also look out to the ocean! It was absolutely breath taking.

We experienced fine dining, our first luau, traveled along the North Shore... where we even got to see a live surf competition, and discovered one of the locals favorite treats - shave ice! There's so much more and pretty sure you'll want to see our experiences for yourselves.

There's more to share from the second portion of our honeymoon, so stay tuned for that next week.

Trust there were even more adventures we partook in on Maui!

I'm back, and I'm MARRIED! I can't believe that the day has come and gone. We had such a long engagement, and there was plenty of stress tied into the planning, but it's still is crazy to me. I couldn't be happier to be back though, married to my charming, and getting to share all the details with you lovelies finally.

I plan to write up an entire series focusing on all the details from the wedding. From planning to the day to the honeymoon after. It'll all be coming your way as we make our way into the new year, but to kick it off I want to tell you about our Wedding Week Getaway!

So our venue, The Mulberry, was in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Not necessarily far from Orlando, but it was still a good 2 hour drive for us so I'm considering it a mini destination wedding. We headed out Wednesday that week and stayed at the SpringHill Suites New Smyrna Beach.Y'all this hotel was amazing and helped this stressed out bride be a little more at ease. The hotel is located right on the beach first of all! It can't get any better than that. Plus, it's on the main drag where you have all the shops, restaurants, and bars to choose from.

We stayed in a deluxe king ocean view with balcony for the week, and my goodness was it wonderful! We were on the top floor looking out over the ocean. Waking up with the soothing sounds of the waves and beautiful sunrises were so calming and set the tone that the days were going to be peaceful. I feel like the room had everything. There was a: mini fridge, microwave, keurig, corner couch, desk, comfy pillows, a spacious bathroom, and sipping coffee in the mornings on the balcony quickly became one of my favorites. They even surprised us with a little congratulatory goodie basket and a bottle of wine. So sweet!

Besides our room being equipped with most everything, the care was outstanding. So friendly and accommodating! The lobby was huge and served breakfast daily. If you wanted to you could even enjoy your food out on the patio over looking the fire pits, pool, and beach. This area was super nice for lounging and enjoying the ocean breeze without getting all sandy. There also was a fully stacked bar for bevies and Starbucks coffee, so we were most definitely set morning through night.

Like I mentioned we headed out that way an extra day early so we could get situated knowing the week was going to be a long one, but one of the most amazing of our lives. Thursday was rehearsal day which started to bring on more of the anxious nerves, but everything went so lovely. Then Friday was the BIG DAY!! I couldn't had asked for better weather. Waking up to such a beautiful scene really put me at ease and there was a sense of peace and comfort that made me go into the day knowing all was going to work out exactly how it was meant to. Our wedding day was truly a fairytale and all of my dreams and desires were brought to life. More on all this to come. We decided to enjoy one last celebratory day with a brunch and beach day to follow. It was so nice being able to simply walk to and from the restaurant, hotel, and beach. The less hassle the better.

So if you're thinking about visiting New Smyrna Beach, FL whether it be a destination vacation or a mini staycation, you can't go wrong staying at the SpringHill Suites NSB. I promise you, you'll have a most enjoyable relaxing time! We most definitely will be reliving our wedding stay in months to come.

I hope you all have a Happy Holiday season!

So I did a thing, and I decided to take a trip with my LarBears!

He started working again like mid June we'll say, and every week he has to travel up to Asheville, North Carolina. Seeing that I'm still off work, I figured why not tag along and get a change of scenery. And a pretty beautiful one at that!

Yes, current times it's still a little unsettling to travel, but at the same time we have to continue life. Be smart about it, and take extra precautions but enjoy yourself, ya know. For instance, I brought along my Clorox wipes, and even though the hotel had been "cleaned" I went through it all myself to feel better about it. Also, have plenty of on-the-go sanitizers with you. I have them everywhere, and immediately use them once entering the car or room.

Now I didn't get too much sight seeing in given the fact of Larry needing to work every day, all day. We also took Burly (our miniature poodle) with us. So leaving the room to go and explore was a little more difficult too. All in all, I basically worked on my computer like normal just from the hotel room instead. In the evening once Lar was off we went out to explore.

He took me to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. Which was absolutely beautiful!!! I'm not eventuate big on nature, but the mountain views. Omg, I could never get sick of! We went up to see Mt. Pisgah, and it was just unreal. There were plenty of overlooks so you could pull off to the side and scoop the mountain out along your way to the top. One of the later nights within the week he took me over to check out the "Looking Glass Waterfall." I don't really think I've ever seen a real waterfall before to be honest. It was so cool and we even were able to make our way down to the bottom to see it more up close.

The exciting sight seeing continued with our visit to The Biltmore. First, if you've never been I seriously recommend you going for a visit. The estate is absolutely stunning. Princess dreams, stunning! Ok, like it's a mansion duh, but to think about when this was built is crazy. We also, took a tour of the mansion itself. So like we got to walk through a lot of it. There was a room for everything it seemed plus some. The grounds were gorgeous, and the garden... more princess dreams come true. Now if only I could make this happen with what I'm working with lol.

Here is the complete travel vlog from our trip so you can witness first hand some of the stuff we did and got to see.

Definitely stay tuned for more couple photos from our trip. Larry actually agreed to taking pix with me for like a faux engagement shoot. We will obviously be having real shoot hopefully sometime soon within the next couple months. It's been put off longer since ya know the pandemic making everything hard, and now it's crazy hot. So for the mean time at least we captured some really beautiful moments from this past trip. If you're not already following me on IG, you should so you don't miss a post.

Continue to stay safe and healthy lovelies, but live your life to the best you can given the current times.
