Ok, so this post is just about your basic tee and why you need them as a staple in your closet.

So who said you couldn't spruce up a basic tee to make it more than you just wearing a t-shirt?! I know for myself I particularly love a good tee to throw on and go because half the time I'm running between jobs. Or once I get to work I'm changing into costumes so I want something easy to put on at the end of my shift. It's all about how you put it together. Here I spruced it up by adding a cute simple bootie and some added accessories, and now that's it a little chillier you can always throw on a cardi over it too to give it a more cozy vibe obviously.

Having some good quality t-shirts as your go to are a major must in my opinion because your always wearing them! Year round! Whether by themselves or in layers, you will always get use out of them. This shirt particularly is super soft and just lays so nicely. It's the right amount of baggy, yet fitted to show off your figure. And especially most recently I've been obsessed with maroon/ burgundy colors!

Also, for those performers out there... a basic tee is perfect for your headshot sessions! I know when I first started out I thought my outfit needed to be so stellar and decked out for headshots, but in reality that's exactly what you don't want lol. Keeping it simple is key. You want a nice solid that showcases your eyes and complexion. maybe throw on an earring stud, but that's it. Also, solids are great for auditions too. You want the focus on you and not your outfit. I would totally wear this look, minus the hat, to an actor audition. It's simple, clean, and put together.

You can find my exact shirt below from Nordstrom for under $25, and it comes in a variety of colors fyi.

xo's,

L
